ADOPTION POLICIES & APPLICATION FORM

The first step in the process of adopting a pet from Companion Cats is to complete an Adoption Application. It provides information that enables us to assist you in the selection of a pet. Together, we will be able to determine if the adoption is in the animal’s best interest, and the process ensures that you will find an animal well-suited toyour lifestyle. Please provide detailed information for all questions.

Our $50.00 adoption fee includes the cost for general care while being fostered, some vaccinations* and other medical care, the spaying or neutering of the animal* (*Only in the case that the animal is old enough to spay/neuter.)  If the animal you have chosen has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will not be able to take it home until it has been altered through the Alley Cat Angels or you may elect to submit a $100.00 deposit which is refundable once you show proof of the spay/neuter from a licensed Veterinarian.) 

To be considered as an adopter, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid driver’s license or Michigan Identification Card stating your current address
• Have the knowledge and consent of a landlord, if relevant
• Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment, proper nourishment and care, and training for a pet
