We cannot operate without volunteers who are committed to the varied work needed to keep our organization running.

Companion Cats needs volunteers for the following:

• Open your home and foster a cat(s)
• Help clean and feed the areas provided for our shelter cats (scoop, fill bowls and pet a lonely kitty)
• Help set-up or tear down at adoption events
• Transport animals to/from adoption events
• Counsel potential adopters
• Take photos and/or videos for our Petfinder postings or Newsletters (they really help get each cat noticed)
• Take time to observe our cats and keep up-to-date information about their personalities, likes, dislikes, etc.
• Write those heart-touching bios for the cats listed on Petfinder.com
• Plan fundraising events
• Coordinate our volunteer program
• Plan marketing/advertising campaigns to find homes for our foster cats
• Write grant proposals (we have someone to guide you through the process)

How your donation can help Companion Cats

• Cat food, kitten food both hard and soft, plus kitten replacement milk
• Scoopable cat litter
• Cleaning supplies: bleach, paper towels, laundry soap, etc.
• Monitory gifts for medical care such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations and preventitve medical care

Where do donations go? Donations give us the opportunity to purchase the medical supplies required to spay/neuter and vaccinate more rescue cats and kittens. Stopping overpopulation is the key to ending the suffering of abandon homeless pets. (Donations are tax deductible in the state of Michigan.)
